About Us
With a history dating back more than 70 years, we have grown from a single location originally founded as Howard Lumber selling to furniture manufacturers in eastern Tennessee to a multi-dimensional organization serving customers throughout the world. In the mid-1950s, we relocated to Atlanta and, by 1960, we established a plant in Mableton, Georgia, with Atlanta Hardwood becoming the sales arm for Howard Lumber. Today, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, we operate as AHC Hardwood Group with four divisions in Georgia and Tennessee. Our operations include kiln drying yards, two moulding production facilities, a Tennessee-based distribution center, and a logistics division with flatbed common carrier capacity servicing areas from Texas to Virginia.
